Call for EC Tender
One of the workshop delegates has emailed me about a call for a EC Tender.

The DG Enterprise and Industry recently published a call for tender for a study on incentives for the increased commercialisation of unused patents
(Call for tender no. 202852-2008 (ENTR 08/043))
This call for tender is launched in the framework of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Work Programme 2008 and Innovation Framework Programme.
The deadline for the submission of tenders is 12th September 2008.

Workshop on Open Innovation
We held a Workshop on Open Innovation in Cambridge in May where we had a range of delegates attending from business and academic institutions. The aim of the workshop was to bring together young scholars from different disciplines to improve knowledge exchange, and provide a platform for future shared research projects in the area of innovation generally and explore further the concept of open innovation. The workshop combined presentations by students, faculty and senior management from major corporations. Each session was followed by an open forum to facilitate the discussion of relevant research issues and managerial implications.
